Hawkesbury Transition to Work Program

Hawkesbury Transition to Work Program is a 2 year  program providing support and training to school leavers with a disability, assisting them to develop skills required for the workforce.

Who is eligible for the service?
School leavers are assessed by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (DADHC) prior to exiting the school system. DADHC determines eligilbility for the Transition to Work Program.  The Program Service Users are supported to develop their own Individual Training Plan. The program is tailored to meet individual needs and modules include prevocational training, a variety of work placements and a focus on social skill development.

Service Fees
DADHC provides funding for Service Users accessing Hawkesbury Transition to Work Program. There is a nominal fee charged to the service user per day of attendance which contribute to the cost of the program.   PS Inc realises that people may experience times when they are unable to pay. No eligible service user will be refused service because of an inability to pay.

Where and When?
The Program will operate from South Windsor Family Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am until 5pm.  Please note - program operation in 2009 is subject to minimum numbers of attendees.
